The good thing about facts, is they don’t care how you feel about them. Facts don’t have friends or family, they don’t have jobs, or political allegiances, colleagues or classmates, and care little to make themselves palatable to those who do. Whether they look good on your social media feed, or not, whether they win, or lose you friends, whether they bring you countless clicks, likes and follows, or none at all, such things are immaterial to facts. Facts are never uninvited to dinner. They cannot be cancelled, blocked, or left on read, and they are impervious to the silent treatment. So stamp your feet, and shake your fist, or throw the facts into the deepest ocean. Screech, squeal, plug your ears, or tweet yourself senseless. Splutter superlatives, split semantics, bend over backward, and cartwheel across the room. Do it all, and more if you like, the facts remain the same. That’s why I like them. Look – Here’s some facts https://tinyurl.com/5vp7jwkh These ones are founded upon the most recent, highest quality, largest, and most reliable data we have on crime; and they tells us that 41% of domestic abuse victims in England and Wales, are male. Those are facts (check them if you like). Like a mirror, they can only be presented to you, and what you choose to do (or not do) with what you see, is entirely up to you. They’ll be here when you’re ready, and they’ll still be here if you’re not. So what facts are you tired of people ignoring?
