Happy International Men’s Day one and all!

Ignore the whines and moans of our critics; celebrating such a day is not akin to ‘white history month’, or ‘able bodied day’ – so sorry Ms Phillips.

IMD is a day to acknowledge the issues of mens health, male suicide, male victims of abuse, fatherhood, boys in education, and many more important topics besides.

There is no shame in discussing the lived experiences of half the world’s population, especially when that group is so often met with difficult societal issues, stigma and hardship, that all too often remains ignored.

So who better to explain this than veteran men and boys advocate, journalist and author, Ally Fogg, who played a central role in bringing International Mens Day to the UK, twelve years ago…
