Amongst the scoffs, eye rolls and yells of social media, it’s easy to feel alone in this space. So too it’s easy to feel hopeless. To feel that nobody cares about men and boys; to think that the tantrums and whines of a few brittle social media brats, represent the words of the many. But this is not true. You are not alone. Not in the least. People do care about men and boys, they just don’t know what’s going on. And people do agree with us, they are just never asked. Recently however, they were asked, and they turned out for boys and men in staggering numbers. If you follow me, you’ll know that by British law, a woman cannot be charged for ‘rape’ against a man or boy, or anyone else. Quite literally no such crime exists, and changing this legislation to recognise all survivors of rape, has been at the centre of campaigning for men and boys for many years. Now, finally, the public have been asked to weigh in too, and nearly 80% believe a woman *can* rape a man. Whilst those in support of changing the law to recognise this, outnumber those who don’t by nearly four to one. So don’t be fooled, you are not alone, they are. And they will become more and more alone as support for their ideas wanes, and understanding and compassion of men and boys continues to grow. So hold old a little longer. And in the mean time, let’s ask – can women rape men?
