The epidemic of #malesuicide continues to be discussed across various corners of the online world.

But how can we hope to have a positive impact on the problem, when so many of the things that push men into ending their lives, are still too politically unpopular to be spoken about?

11% of men experiencing abuse will consider suicide.

20% of male suicides are linked to child custody battles, and family breakdown.

Yet, even a 10-foot barge pole is still too close for ‘men’s health advocates’ to touch the hot button issues of ‘male victims of abuse’, and ‘corrupt family courts’…

…and so men die in silence.

Men die by suicide for our lack of courage, and our need for comfort.

We implore these men to talk, but then say nothing ourselves about the things so many of them are telling us.

So, where do we go from here?

Should we expect and ask more from men’s health advocates?

And how many more men must be lost before we find the couage to speak for them?

What do you think?
