When we talk about beauty standards, I’m sure you’re picturing a woman. And the expectations on women’s faces, skin, bodies, hair (or lack of it) have been rightfully scrutinised. But you’d be forgiven for thinking that men don’t face these same expectations - but they do. The expectations to be big, tall and muscular, with a full head of hair, bushy beard, broad shoulders and a chizzled jaw. Yet I hardly see these expectations discussed – so can we do it here?
