The world is built for men. With many things we touch, use, hold and have, typically built for the average male.
Whether it be poorly fitting seat belts, or recently, PPE that’s too big for many women’s bodies, this standardisation hurts women.
But does it hurt men too...
Do we also standardise something else by this ‘default human’ experience?
What about the standardisation of suffering?
Take a look - that cold, greyed out, faceless figure, who is often used as a barometer for pressing societal issues... well he’s a real human too.
So no. Men are not default humans at all, and women are not speciality humans either...
We are all individuals and we are all equally important.
