When you look at the great pyramid of society, you’d be right to point out that most positions of power are taken by men. The CEO’s and political leaders who sit at the apex, below them, the much discussed ‘Glass Ceiling’ that traditionally makes womens’ ascension that little bit harder. Over time, this glass floor has become the target of much rock throwing and has already started to break, with many women joining men at the very top. But why do we never look down to the very bottom of the pyramid? The lowly base where men are also over represented; as the homeless, the incarcerated, the addicted, and those most likely to die by suicide? ‘The Glass Floor’ so to speak, which many men crash through on their way to ground zero.
