The problem with our highly gendered narratives around sexual predators, is how easily it allows concerning stories to fly beneath the radar. And considering one in six men are sexually abused (1in6.org), more ought to be done to challenge *all* gender stereotypes. Because right now, a woman can seemingly go to a man’s house, who is so wasted he can barely see straight or speak properly, and have ‘sex’ with him. She can sleep with a man so ‘fucking wasted’ his body cannot even properly perform sex, and then years later recount the story on stage, to hundreds of people, and receive rapturous applause and laugher. I don’t think a man who did this to a woman would get quite the same reception, so why the double standard? ~
