Never come between a sassy feminist and her tacky mug – especially when it spews the words of a eugenicist. Sadly there are no shortage of angry slogans these days; yelled from rooftops or spat out of TikTok by pouty teenagers. Queen of them all is, ‘The Future is Female’! The centrepiece of so much merch that adorns the bedroom walls, kitchen counters and desktop backgrounds of a million “boss bitches”. The world quakes as these mighty heroes of social justice sip their morning coffee; frantically sending their emails and shaking their fists at the sky. But I am sure that many of these people don’t know where this phrase came from, and the true intent behind it. For they are the words of a genuine eugenicist, Dr Sally Miller Gearhart, who literally called for men to be bred out of existence, and reduced down to ’10% of the human race.’ *spits out coffee* …erm what? Yes. The radical feminist separatist movement has seemingly entered the business of cheap, mass produced tat. A group more fragile than the mugs their words are printed upon.
