If you were to set foot in the women’s clothing section of any good fashion store, you would be greeted with a plethora of colours, textures, designs, patterns, shapes, fits, jewellery and more… Behold! The shimmering majesty of satin. Look in awe at the cascading train of that sparkly sequined dress, or stand in disbelief at the endless racks of shoes in every style you can dream of, or wander through fields of trinkets in every shape, colour and design imaginable. And once you’re done (assuming you find your way back out), take a quick look at the men’s section too. Don’t worry, it won’t take long… T-shirts: they come in black, white, grey and navy blue. Trousers: also black, white, grey and navy blue. Jeans. And that’s about it. In fact – For men, the only items that can reliably carry any colour or creativity are socks, or maybe a tie, and for many, even that is far too much.
