In a world where inclusive, gender neutral language prevails; it blows my mind that we still class abused men as “women”.

Yup. You read that right.

If you’re a man being abused by your wife, or a boy with experiences of sexual assault, or stalking, a gay man forced into marriage; you are officially classed as a woman (or a girl) by our own Government.

This is a Government who pretends to care about male victims; who says that we all matter, no matter the sex, and no matter how few.

And yet, they’ll erase millions of male victims within their own policy.

So don’t tell me “men need to speak up”, when our own Government are too cowardly to speak up for them.

And stop asking me “why do men not recognise abuse against them?” When our politicians fail to do the same.
