As the Euros continue to be embroiled in the ‘taking the knee’ controversy, one issue has slipped quietly through the net – a human rights abuse that nobody seems willing to talk about.
And that is the thousands and thousands of migrant workers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka who have lost their lives building the stadiums for the Qatari 2022 World Cup.
(Needless to say, I support footballers taking the knee too)
