I’m Called An INCEL

January 23, 2022

I shower every morning, brush my teeth twice a day, I don’t live in my parents basement, I have a cool job, and I’m not short on sexual or dating experience either.

Yet, I’m called an INCEL or similar, pretty much every day.

For what? Because some people have lost the ability to have productive, adult and data driven conversations, outside of narrow and outdated dogmatic views?

Seriously, if your response to a well reasoned rebuke, is to tell that person to have a shower and brush their teeth - then you have a lot of work to do.

And it’s all fun and games, call me what you like, I honestly don’t care; I like my teeth, I live in a beautiful home, and I smell *okay.*

But it does make me wonder what happens to the world when people cannot engage in hard conversations, without such silliness?

If a movement and its ideas are lifted above reproach, so it can rain down insults and stupidity on the rest of us, rather than contend with the difficult ideas at their feet, then what does that look like going forward?

Are we creating a generation of intellectually coddled cry babies?

And is it time for them to go to bed?
