It’s easy to paint a narrative when you’re the one choosing the words.
Because It’s not Violence Against Women, it’s just violence. And it’s not femicide, it’s called homicide - and it affects all genders.
These words advocate only one thing, the erasure of men and NBs from the picture.
So let’s just treat the issue. Not the gender.
And don’t even get me started on STEM…
I constantly hear ‘men out number women in STEM education 3 to 1!’
But what people don’t know, is that STEM is a *made up word* that simply cherry picks the few areas of science where men are ahead, such as physics, and excludes the ones where women dominate.
This means ‘STEM’ actually *excludes* medicine, veterinary studies, neuroscience, physiology, nutrition, nursing, dentistry, physiotherapy, psychology, psychotherapy and even biology!?!
Somehow these are not sciences under ‘STEM’.
And guess what, if you add these back into the true definition of ‘STEM’, women are (just) ahead there too.
It’s outrageous.
There’s more about it here #ttmSTEM.
