A Very Big Difference

November 12, 2020

Amber Heard, who spoke at the Women of the Year Awards in 2016 to raise awareness around sexual assault, who spoke about domestic violence on the #girlgaze project, who wrote about domestic abuse for Porter Magazine and The Washington Post, who was named as a Champion for Human Rights by the Stand up for Human Rights Campaign and who is an ambassador for women’s rights for the American Civil Liberties Union – is an abuser.
.
It is likely that Johnny and Amber were mutually abusive during their relationship, as is the case with 50% of abusive relationships.
.
The difference between the two is Johnny Depp’s career is now over. Yet Amber Heard continues to star in multi million dollar films, is held up as a role model to women and feminism and is seen by the mass media as a strong and independent woman, as a survivor and an icon for victims of abuse everywhere.
.
A lot has already been said about the case, so I wanted to add the transcripts and audio tapes of Amber Heard showing who she truly is, spoken in her own words.
.
Shame on the Guardian for their truly awful handling of this case and shame on the media who did the same.
.
You do not care for survivors at all, or for domestic abuse. You shall be shown as such, whether now or in years to come.
.
Amber Heard is not innocent and neither is Johnny Depp, the difference is a simple yet big one - one is a man and the other is a woman.
